Hennessey Performance Engineering is a company that isn't normally associated with Japanese cars. In fact, the American tuning house specialises mostly in Detroit iron, as well as the odd European car, but parts for Japanese cars have never appeared in their tuning catalogue.
That'll be changing soon though, with Hennessey set to develop their own upgrades for the Lexus IS-F and the Nissan GT-R.
The IS-F range will feature an air induction kit, stainless steel headers and exhaust system, ported heads and a supercharger system. Given the early stage of development there's no specs on what these parts will look like or how much performance they'll add to the IS-F. Prices are a mystery too, but think about it this way: you can't put a price on having the fastest Lexus in the golf club car park.
Hennessey's site doesn't mention what'll be on offer for the R35 GT-R, but given that these guys offer an aftermarket exhaust system for the Bugatti Veyron, we have no doubt they'll be able to add something worthwhile to Nissan's brand-new supercar. We'll keep you updated.
