Matt Lauer's Mini

Seriously? Matt Lauer? Does Matt Lauer even have a fan club? From the seller’s description:

This 1966 Morris Minor Mini Cooper Traveller is Red with a Red Interior. It’s previous owner was Matt Lauer of the “Today” show. He owned the car for about 10 years. We recently purchased the car from him and it is in excellent condition. The paint, in its original color, and wood are refinished and excellent. The interior is completely original and in beautiful condition. It is a rust free car in excellent mechanical condition. Upgrades include the very rare Special Tuning steel rims (Special Tuning was the factory BMC race shop in Abingdon – The MG plant) and a 1275cc Mini Cooper “S” engine. An expert british mechanic in the Hamptons recently went through the car giving it a full inspection and service to ensure that it is road ready and can be driven right away. About $10,000 in recent mechanical work includes a complete engine service, resealed engine and transmission, new clutch, complete engine bay detail, etc. Overall it is a very unique car in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with a wonderful provenance.
