Hemmings Find of the Day – 1958 Ferrari 250GT

Sometimes, just for kicks, I like to search for the highest price a car on Hemmings.com is being advertised for. That’s how I found the 1953 Maserati A6C54 last month (at $1.95 million), and that’s how I came across the 1958 Ferrari 250GT currently being offered on Hemmings.com at $5.3 million. From the seller’s description:

1958 250 GT Tour De France-RED/TAN-complete ground up restoration within last 4 years. Multiple show winner including Platinum award Coppa Bella Machina Cavalino Classic 2003, Finest competition Ferrari Concourso Italiano, Palos Verdes Concours 1st in Ferrari class, cover car-Car Collector July 2007. Pebble Beach Concours 2002. Raced and won by Richie Ginther 1959, Chassis # 0967. Beautiful example-constantly maintained to the highest standards-needs nothing.

Not to sound too plebeian, but at that price, I should sure hope it needs nothing.
