* Contributor diskojoe recently sent us this link to a scan of a 1955 comic book that GM produced to educate kids about the roles diesels play . Who really thought, “Hey, don’t you think kids need to learn about this?”

* There’s something a little off about Michael Paul Smith’s photographs, as presented over on Carros Antigos . Scroll through them, and you start to wonder: Why are the cars so well-colored? Are these colorized black-and-white photos? It’s not until you get to the last photo in the series that you realize what’s really going on here.

* Finally, Performance Therapy , a contest for those of you who wrench, show and drive your collector cars. The winner will be announced at SEMA early next month. I don’t see a single AMC in there, folks; somebody enter one and give those Camaros a run for their money!
