Rob tells me that the "redneck swimming pool" gag is a total cliché, but I have to say I never knew that filling your tarp-lined pickup bed with water was actually that widespread a practice in real life—and I've hung out with my fair share of rednecks. But sure enough, and just in time for summer, the internet is awash with examples of redneck ingenuity. I even found a video where some kids took it to the next level—taking the redneck pool out for a drive—though their Ranger didn't seem to retain much water between all the cannonballs and the (supposed) encounter with the cops.
