Ford F-5 Body On A F800 Chassis

Published in engineswapdepot.com

This beast is made from a 1948 Ford F-5 body sitting on a 1992 F800 chassis. The engine is a Ford diesel six-cylinder connected to a Eaton five-speed transmission and a Marmon-Herrington transfer case. On the front sits a 30,000 lb Tulsa hydraulic winch. The truck weighs only 18,000 lbs and is 10 feet wide from tire to tire. The seller says $80,000 was put into it with the steering axle costing $12,000 by itself.
