Ali Afshar’s EG33 Powered BRZ Dragster

When I started researching the engine inside Ali Afshar’s 2013 BRZ drag car I saw everything from a 2.0L flat-four (FA20), a 2.4L flat-four, a 2.5L flat-four (EJ25), or a flat-six. But after finding a promotional pamphlet listing the cars spec I found out the engine is a 3.3L EG33 flat-six motor built by Tony Rigoli Performance out of Australia and produces around 1,400 horsepower. The engine features Darton cylinder sleeves, CP pistons, Carrillo rods, Ferrea Racing valvetrain, and MoTeC M800 ECU.
