This V8 engine from a Ferrari 360 Modena sold for $11,000 on ebay motors. This engine is 3.6L and puts out 400 horsepower. Besides a replacement for another Ferrari engine, would you think the unique factor would be worth $11,000 for an Italian swap?

One of our readers gave us a heads up on the most recent Cars and Coffee meetup which was posted in the NAGTROC forum. A large diversity of great cars showed up ranging from Porsches to muscle cars to a new GT-R. This purple Datsun 510 stood out in particular because you don’t see too many of these and second it has a swap. It appears to have a very clean SR20DET swap with probably some upgrades such as the Brembo brakes.

Talk about a tight fit. This Porsche 911 has a supercharge LS1 V8 stuffed in the back replacing the original flat 6. One might think that the V8 would be heavier but thanks to a lot of aluminum the LS1 is lighter then the original engine the driver shaved off around 21 pounds total. No official notes of the horsepower it is putting out but it has to be 400 or more. The owner also stuffed a LS1 in the back of a Porsche 914.

You will have to provide the car but if you have the money they will replace your engine with 2 electric motors (one for each back wheel) and a bunch of lithium phosphate batteries. After destroying the original Powerglide transmission he swapped it with a T56 from a LT1 combo using ATS’ own kit. I would think they will fork over the money for the repairs since these are such status symbols in California. Time Machines is working on a Mustang Fastback which will include a swapped Ford GT engine. Mike Staveski, the owner of Time Machines, recently posted some new pictures on Pro-Touring.com of the parts going on the project. I was holding back posting on this project as it seemed to be moving slowly but with the Ford GT engine and transmission arriving I would think we would see some good updates coming. This is a 2003 Pontiac IMSA Fiero that was built off a prototype IMSA body. The owner was able to find this treasure off eBay of all places. Talk about a find.
