I knew this one would come sooner or later if I’m going to keep on with these Saturday shoutouts, just didn’t realize it’d be this soon. Ryan Cochran, the MC, DJ, CEO, OG over at JalopyJournal.com spotted TA’s recent post on the Packard facade that RM Auctions put up for sale last weekend and inspired pages of commentary about Detroit’s decay on the H.A.M.B., the Jalopy Journal’s message board, with his own post about the facade. Posts on the H.A.M.B. have tossed plenty of traffic our way, but Ryan’s post generated much more than any one post, showing that Ryan’s efforts as of late to transform the Jalopy Journal from simply the home of the H.A.M.B. into something more approximating a magazine for the traditional hot rod set have not gone unnoticed. So thanks, Ryan, for both the link and for providing a home for guys interested in preserving and furthering our hot rod heritage.
