Overhaulin

Got an email from Tod Mesirow, the new executive producer of TLC’s Overhaulin’. Looks like he’s now accepting submissions for a new season of the reality show. And it looks like he’s not just going to limit the show to Southern California, as in previous seasons. Score one for the flyover states.

We’re looking for cars and people - cars with stories, people who deserve to have their car “Overhauled.”

And it might help to remind people that they’re not supposed to nominate themselves and their own car, as that might diminish the surprise element - we received one submission of this sort recently.

Chutzpah ain’t dead, it seems.

my name is carol, my husband has a 1968 red ford mustang that he has been trying to re do for years now, there have been so many obsticles, he had bladder cancer, he has severe medical problems and he is only 43 years old.. his dream is to get his mustang on the road .. he is unable to work any more.. I just want to make his dream come true..every day he goes in the garage and just sits there and stares at it because he cannot afford and cannot work on it the way he wants.. i feel for him.. I would love to surprise him with this dream of his.. his life would be complete!

what i have to say means alot too me my husband work hard for his family when the house market crashed has small contracton company crash he will give the shirt off his back iget mad because hes'' to nice and never get nothin in return or exspect any thing etherhe youst'' to hire kids comin out of jail he allways extend his hand right now we had too move in with my granmother just to save money to get back on track as he an i work around the clock we just had a baby too aswell going on 6 months an his step son with is my son with he take care of like his own please he deserve it .............

My husband of 9 years couldn't give up the chance of having his dad's old truck(childhood memories). So we kept it it doesn't run he got laid off and can't fix it. He DESERVES it.Would like to surprise him!

I'm guessing U only take cars residing in Cal.Haven't of U doing this anywhere else,,But i know someone with a 73 vette that can use ur talents.. i don't know what if any money issues there are.the car is esenualy in intact.just needs some new parts in it,,been sitting for awhile,an they just want to put back like it was..well let me know what u think..C.Kelly
