Hemmings Find of the Day – repliCountach

repliCountach

As of this writing, there’s 23 Lamborghinis for sale on Hemmings.com – everything from a ‘66 350GT to a pair of ‘08 Gallardos. So, of course, to accompany today’s Hemmings Six Degrees of Separation Challenge on Lamborghinis, I find the most unLamborghini of Lamborghinis – a repliCountach, offered for $34,900 out of Georgia. From the seller’s description:

1985 Lamborghini Countach Replicar Exterior paint finished in Red complemented by a Neutral Shale leather interior. One of a kind, high quality Lamborghini Countach replicar that gets head turning looks where ever you go. Lots of attention to detail was put into building this car. You must see & drive this one to believe. Direct from the Rushton Mill Car Museum collection, please call Woody, collection curator. Woody will trade up or down for your antique & collectible vehicles. Woody especially loves hotrods! This is one “bad boy” Lambo being offered here. It is fast & reliable too!

I’d say it was based on a Fiero, given the GM steering column and turn signal stalk, but the longitudinal V-8 makes me suspect otherwise. Any guesses as to what this started out as?
