Toyota Celica with a LOL face? You don’t say? It’s the goddamn Internet, and sometimes memes cross over to the verse Hooned. Luckily Nicolas Cage and his goofy demeanor aren’t a daily, eh, thing over here, but this shall be an exception.
It appears that some years ago a bodykit manufacturer wanted to spruce up the ’90s quad-headlight Celica a bit. I don’t know what they were thinking, but the corner light cluster just makes it nigh-on-impossible for anyone to keep a straight face. Including the car itself.
And that’s not all there is to it! You can buy one of these Celicas with the gleeful GRP. Click for more.
This 1994 Celica 1.8 GSi (seriously, it’s the base engine) has had the honour of being fitted with the said derp kit. It’ a bit worn here and there and the fit isn’t at its best everywhere you look, but at least the colour is a good match.
The front dam is huge. I’d like to believe it’s large enough to actually create some downforce, in addition to keeping that 115-horsepower nose down with its sheer weight.
‘Round the back is a suitably enormous wing and the rear bumper has been molded to a diffuser shape. The wheels are a bit on the heavy-looking side, though.
Would the Internet Famous Celica Bodykit interest you enough for you to shell over 3300 of your hard-earned euros, or would you rather just click “Next”?
