Gilbert Rozet says that it is three years since the Franch Championship commenced with five races a year and that plans are already being made for 2007. "We have been running six classes and we will replace Comp Eliminator with Super Comp ET in 2007", says Gilbert. "Because Comp eliminator is too difficult for us to manage, we have decided to create a new category for racers who can go quicker than 8.90 with a 7.50 limit.
Our six classes are now: * Street Run A (14.00) * Street Run B (13.00) * Street Run C (12.00) * Super Street (10.90) * SuperGas(9.90) * SuperComp ET(7.50-8.90)
"The people who organize theFrench Dragster Trophy are racers: Eric Angeloni, Patrick Dubois, Christophe Dubois Gilbert Rozet, and Jean Dulamon. We were bored of bad racing management, waiting in the staging lanes and only three runs a weekend. In 2006, more than three hundred different racers from France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy have enjoyed racing in France. We have run an average of ten qualifying sessions for each race. Of course they are not mandatory if your engine can’t handle so much activity or if you prefer to keep your fuel for the race!

"Entrance fees are used to pay prize money and these are guaranteed by the ATD so there are no bad surprises: ©Eurodragster.com Super Comp ET: €750 winner, €350 runner-up, €250 3rd/4th Super Gas: €600 winner, €300 runner-up, €150 3rd/4th Super Street: €450 winner, €250 runner-up, €100 3rd/4th Street Run A: €200 winner, €100 runner-up, €50 3rd/4th Street Run B: €160 winner, €80 runner-up, €40 3rd/4th Street Run C: €120 winner, €60 runner-up, €30 3rd/4th
"I will post the 2007 race calendar as soon as the dates are finalised. We will organize a private training session at Lurcy Levis in March: you can find the map at www.circuit-lurcy-levis.com/index_uk
