Uh Oh: '09 Maxima Unveiled In New York, Hints At 370Z Styling

The 2009 Nissan Maxima had its official unveiling at the New York Auto Show yesterday, and although it's a big, practical sedan (and thereby not worthy of any coverage on JPCN), it does provide some clues about what we can expect the upcoming 370Z to look like.

Unfortunately, the prognosis doesn't look good for the Z. It wasn't that long ago that renderings/photos of the VQ37VHR-powered 370Z popped up, and although we're loath to say it, the new Maxima's appearance (and those headlights!) suggests those images of the 370Z (below) are more real than we think. Call it a hunch, but we sense Nissan might be on the verge of having a "Chris Bangle moment".
