Something Old, Something New...

JPCN Team, 17.09.2007 in Partner- und Mitglieder-Blogs, Archiv (Blogs, Mitglieder-Artikel)

Sure, those S30 240Zs look fast, but odds are that after over 30 years of wear and tear the stock L24 is unlikely to provide as much motivation as it used to. So, what to do?

One way of sprucing up your old Japanese sports car is by ditching the old motor in favour of some modern machinery. Take, for example, the stunning S30 above, powered by none other than Nissan's RB26DETT. Observe the hardcore Hakosuka Skyline below, also powered by a highly-tuned RB26.

Both are fine, fine examples of what can be done when you apply some new materials to an old canvas, however if the '26 is too obvious an engine choice for you then try the below 240Z with a twin-turbocharged VH45DE - it's an oldie, but a goodie and the quality of finish is outstanding (check out those lobster pipes!).
