Today's update isn't really all that groundbreaking as it's just another artist's impression of what the next-gen Silvia could look like, but at least it gives us something to ponder over until Nissan releases some real meaty info on the car.
I'm not a huge fan of this particular Silvia rendering, but what I AM interested in is that blue thing next to it. It's supposedly an upcoming sports version of the Nissan March (Micra, to all you non-JDMers), and it's rumoured that there's a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine lurking beneath that bonnet scoop.
It looks like Nissan could be resurrecting the March Turbo nameplate in the near future, which is pretty cool in my opinion as small, turbocharged hatches are usually more fun than a barrel of monkeys. What would be even cooler though, would be if they were to resurrect the March Superturbo badge and twin-charge that 1.6 for the ultimate in forced-induction goodness. One can only hope.
