MX-5-Based 2000GT Replica By Roadster Garage

To some, this may be sacrilege. To others, this may be a bloody good idea. Whatever you may think of it though, the "Hiroshi" modification offered by Roadster Garage does a decent job of making an MX-5 look like a close approximation of Toyota's classic 2000GT.

Modifications like these are bound to divide opinion amongst enthusiasts. One one side, the Toyota fans are undoubtedly aghast that a replica of the most idolised of classic Toyotas is based upon a - gasp - Mazda MX-5 with - shudder - a lowly 4-pot motor. On the other side, MX-5 freaks are probably outraged that their beloved Roadster is being dressed up as a Toyota, of all things. Whatevs. It's a little awkward-looking, but JPCN would take one with a small proviso that there'd be a 1JZ-GTE residing under the bonnet by the time Roadster Garage are done with it.
