Crossing Over

Japanese Performance Car News, 30.07.2008 in Partner- und Mitglieder-Blogs, jpcnews.blogspot.com

Hmm, the Japanese car mags strike again. Are Mitsubishi planning an all-out performance assault on the crossover market with this Lancer Sportback-based CUV? That may be a bombshell they're saving up for the Sportback's launch at the Paris Motor Show in October, but it could just as easily be the product of yet another crack-smokin' Japanese CG artist. Whatever the case may be, the rendering shown is undeniably attractive for a crossover and for some unfathomable reason I find myself unable to look away...

CUVs are normally the anti-pussy. They're the wheels of choice for an entire generation of young mums and dads, meaning if some babe happens to spy you in the drivers seat of one they'll probably think: A) "Some dame's got that dude's balls wrapped around her left ring-finger", and B) "There is more likely than not a screaming, mucus-covered infant in the back of that guy's ride".

HOWEVER, were you driving this Sportback-on-steroids, I submit that said babe's thought processes would instead go something like this:

"Fuck that car looks hot... I wonder if Ralliart's tuned one yet?"

Okay, so maybe that was my own thought process, but you get the drift: this is one sexy-ass, mean-lookin' crossover. Purely speculative for now, but good looking nonetheless.
