Mine's Sell Out, Put R35 In Fast And The Furious 4

Oh dear. After they achieved the notable feat of being the first to duck under a one-minute lap at Tsukuba Circuit in an R35 GT-R, renowned Japanese tuning house Mine's have instead turned in the direction of the bright lights of Hollywood. That's right, Mine's are shipping one of their R35 GT-R stateside so that it can be featured in the next installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise.

No word on whether it'll have an active role in the film or whether it'll just make a cameo, but really, we're surprised at Mine's for doing this. Surprised, and disappointed. We all know Mine's has some big ambitions for the GT-R, particularly regarding an expansion into the US aftermarket sector, but honestly, a bit part in the next Fn'F fantasy isn't the right way to go about it. Veilside did the exact same thing in Tokyo Drift, and the negative stigma of being associated with Paul Walker appears to have damaged the company's reputation (and sales) in Japan and overseas.

In case you missed it, Veilside USA are also working on a GH WRX STI that will apparently be Paul Walker's car in the upcoming film.
