The folks over at Carscoop report that Mitsubishi Europe have finally released some official information about the upcoming WRX-fightin' Lancer Ralliart.
According to the report, the Lancer Ralliart will be based upon the now-familiar 4-door Lancer body in the USA, while the European market will receive theirs in the form of the upcoming 5-door hatchback (similar to the Concept Sportback shown above).
Both markets will receive the same turbocharged 4B11 engine as the Evo X, albeit detuned to produce 177kW. As we reported earlier, the Lancer Ralliart will make use of the same AWD system as the outgoing Evo IX, and will feature Active Yaw Control and an Active Centre Differential. Surprisingly, Mitsubishi have elected to put their brand-new dual-clutch SST transmission in the Lancer Ralliart, however there's no news on whether a conventional manual gearbox will also be available.
The Lancer Ralliart will also receive an aluminium bonnet, paddle shifters, Recaro seats and a unique grille design to help differentiate it from the cooking model.
