what I missed while I was gone: Musclepalooza video, Old Navy trucks, BoB in 1/18th and more

It was a good week while I was out of the office. Relaxing, productive and little to do with cars, so I won’t bore you with the details. And it was a good week in the world of cars and here at Hemmings:

* The first video from Musclepalooza VI, featuring all the winners of the car show portion, is now online, thanks to the valiant video editing efforts of Jeremy, the Web Dude. He shot plenty of footage, so expect more videos shortly.

* Gary Faules, whose La Carrera Panamericana Shelby G.T.350 project we’ve been following, got the Shelby running and ready for testing on schedule. His report from the track leads us to believe he’s ready for the roads of Mexico.

* For the last few years, Old Navy made getting dragged into their stores less of an ignominy with a fleet of Advanced Design trucks set right in the middle of their faux-warehouse decor. Well, now it appears they’ve begun the process of ridding themselves of the trucks, and the fate of the fleet seems uncertain.

* We knew this was coming, but now it’s official: Mad Max Interceptor in 1/18th-scale die-cast for the first time.

* Need more Musclepalooza stuff? User johnsc uploaded his Musclepalooza photos to the My Hemmings section.

* And we topped 1,000 photos in the Hemmings Nation pool at Flickr! Looks like either Coop or capmconnundrum sent us over the four-figure mark.
