so where does the driver sit? Ten-foot-tall three-wheeler going up for auction

Thunderous Cyclops would be an awesome band name

So among the lots at Barrett-Jackson’s inaugural Las Vegas auction later this month (aside from Carroll Shelby’s MG TC, his first race car), we spied lot 175, billed as the “Thunderous Cyclops.” Of course, with a name like that, we had to investigate. According to the auction description, it’s a to-scale 10-foot-tall Honda three-wheeler, created by a chap named Clifford Smith. We’re guessing Clifford’s from Texas.

The three-wheeler uses two different engines: a Keith Black Hemi to power the 66-inch tires and a Honda motorcycle engine to power the batteries and hydraulic steering pump. And yes, the driver sits in between the legs of the giant inflatable driver (which adds five feet of total height), using a camera and television screen to see forward of the trike.

actually, Thunderous Cyclops would be an awesome kid's name. Nobody would pick on him in the playground, for sure

Obviously, it’s a hit at monster truck shows.
