SIA Flashback - Magnificent Turkey and Airflow Prototypes

early Airflow prototype

The Airflow never did it for me, though I can certainly appreciate the styling and engineering advances it thrust into the automotive world. Michael Lamm took the same approach in SIA #16, April-May 1973, with his driveReport on the Chrysler Airflow, giving thorough attention to the many ways in which Skelton, Breer and Zeder influenced American automotive history with the Airflow. As a bonus treat, we have a three-page article on the various prototypes that Chrysler used to test the Airflow’s engineering principles.
