Heard about Torq-O’s new podcasts, but didn’t give them a listen until just the other day - they’re pretty well done and feature a pair of interviews with former AMC design team members, Vince Geraci and Frank Pascoe (they’ve promised a third interview shortly). Doesn’t seem there’s many other podcasts out there focused on classic cars - though if you know of any, let us know here.
One thing Torq-O did that I like was include a vintage radio ad for some sort of AMC product at the beginning of the podcast. Which makes me wonder - radio ads were a huge part of the car companies’ advertising presence in latter decades, probably moreso than TV ads. YouTube’s made it easy to resurrect those old TV spots, but I haven’t seen any similar Internet repository for old radio ads, save for SweetChariots.com, which only seems to have a handful.
