following up on the Cadillacamino, Curious Yellow, the Continental Mark II convertible and David Gre

1974 Cadillacamino

I didn’t realize there was this much interest in converting Cadillacs into pickups. Roger Trudeau, inspired by the ‘62-ish Cadillacamino that Jesse shared with us, sent in a picture of the one he built from a 1974 coupe. Dig the targa-bar-mounted taillamps.

I Am Curious (Yellow) poster

Steve Segal and I continued to discuss the story of his old Lemon Twist ‘Cuda when he informs me that Chrysler got the name Curious Yellow from a very controversial semi-pornography, semi-documentary Swedish film of the time called I Am Curious (Yellow). Kinda reminds me of the urban legend about Plum Crazy’s original and unapproved name of Statutory Grape. We need more risque automotive paint names.

still from Continental Mark II convertible video

Barry Wolk, owner of the 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II convertible that appeared in the October 2007 issue of Hemmings Classic Car, recently put together a soothing video using the Latcha + Associates photography that accompanied our article.

Elm Garage, Hudson, Massachusetts

Finally, David Greenlees sent along this photo of an antique sign he recently bought.

It is from Hudson Mass. Could you post it to see if anyone knows anything about the garage? I am guessing it is late teens thru the thirtys maybe. I really like the graphics.

Cool even if he finds out nothing about it.
