While raiding boxes for photos to scan for this very blog item on a weekly basis, I found another batch of shots of the leaf blower supercharger I saw on a 1990s Mustang GT back during my days as a student at UMass Amherst. Here’s the original story about it.
Long story short, I knew a guy who loved his Mustang slightly less than he loved his drugs. The result of one chemically addled decision making process was to strap two Weedeater leaf blowers to the top of his engine, plumb in some feed tubes to the factory air box, and have at it.
These photos show some more details than were shown in the first couple than ran months ago. I don’t know about you, but I could stare at this wackiness for hours. The car was running when I took these pics, btw. The leaf blowers, judging by the position of the choke switch, were off.
For those of you who are thinking that it must be good for something, it’s not.
