The Lexus IS F that 0-60 Magazine is building for SEMA just got a custom GReddy exhaust. The system is made up of 70mm full dual piping to 60mm quad piping finishing with four 115mm tips. Sounds pretty tough in this clip! More details and pics on 0-60 Mag's IS F ride page.

"Do not paint or modify the vehicle," the letter from Ford admonished. Pity, because if I was keeping this Flex, I'd be going to town on it. Ford lent me the Flex for a week so I could get a solid feel for the car that I think is going to be the next big thing in the modification scene. It got a ton of attention on the road everywhere I took it, and quite a few people wanted to see the inside. My verdict: I love it! My Flex had the cool parts of a big...

If there's one thing that's lacking in conventional RC cars, it's their inability to defy gravity. Why shouldn't your cars be able to run up walls and across ceilings? Air Hogs must've been thinking the same thing, because they've developed an RC that uses a tiny fan to generate sufficient vacuum to let the light-bodied vehicle stick to unlikely surfaces. They're available on Amazon for 40-bucks-and-change, though anyone who'd plunk down this kind of coin for...

While I was in Detroit for the American Le Mans Series race last weekend, I was a little freaked out by how incredibly tight and technical the Belle Isle course was. Seriously, it looked like one little screw up would send you sliding into the concrete barriers, and I was curious to see what an entire lap looked like from a driver's perspective. So imagine how stoked I was when I saw that someone had posted a clip of lead Corvette engineer Tom Wallace navigating the...

Over a year ago, in the inexorable ramp-up to the introduction of the Nissan GT-R super car, the NISMO 350Z was introduced at the 2007 New York International Automobile Show. In a way, it's almost as if it got lost in the shuffle, and with an as-delivered price of $39,615, it flew under most enthusiasts' radar. So what's it like?
Well, after eight days, two intense road trips to the California Desert, and almost 2,000 miles, I have a very clear idea....

Corsa Motorsports is teaming up with hybrid powerplant builder Zytec Group to run a gas-electric LMP1 prototype car in the American Le Mans Series. The hybrid features an E10 ethanol-fueled 4.5L V8 as well as a Li-ion powered 35kW electric motor, and will debut next month in the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta—which CarDomain will be covering live! If all goes well, Corsa hopes to field a two-car team during the 2009 season. An attempt has been made once before to run...

Starting this week, our buddies at Fast Lane Daily will be featuring a CarDomain member's ride every Wednesday. Yesterday, I sent Mike Spinelli links to some of the rides we've written about recently, and Mike picked this '81 Citation that Jen blogged last month. You'll see Dwayne's burly Chevy at around the 4:00 minute mark. And like Derek D says, if you want to get your car on Fast Lane Daily, you gotta have a ride page on CarDomain. We'll be looking out for...

This week's Showroom Showdown is the battle of the base models. The base Mustang is RWD, has a 210 hp V6 and weighs 3,300 pounds. The Eclipse GS is FWD, has a 168 hp four banger and weighs 3,263 pounds. Both are available with manual trannies, have useless back seats and come in right around $20k. Which would you choose?

Despite recent anecdotal evidence to the contrary, traffic deaths are actually going down. So far down, in fact, that they're on track to hit their lowest levels since 1961. It's probably the one silver lining associated with sky-high gas prices—as drivers slow down, clock fewer miles, and cut unnecessary trips, the number of deaths declines sharply. The insurance companies have been quietly enjoying the decline in claims resulting from the 12 billion fewer miles...

That's right, we got to play with the Hyundai Genesis sedan for a full week! Ok, so it was the V6 and not the V8, but it was still pretty cool. And it was also our first official CarDomain test car, so the Genesis will always be special to us. Thanks Hyundai!
Our car came in Sterling Blue Metallic and had around 700 miles on the clock—though those had been 700 hard miles, since it had been flogged at Buttonwillow the week prior. It was equipped with the...

I don't know if it's a full moon or what, but the spate of exotic car wrecks that took place over the Labor Day weekend continues with yet another fatality. This one happened on Saturday when a 30-year-old guy in California drove a lime-green Murcielago through a guardrail and flew off a freeway, landing on a parking structure below and bursting into flames. The extremely sad post-wreck video below shows how absolutely the Lambo was destroyed. More details at...

Hyundai isn't messing around with the new Genesis Coupe, and the car's reveal at the New York Auto Show was complete with live music, fireworks, and stunt drivers spinning donuts. But as cool as the new 2+2 may be in stock trim, with a rear-wheel drive platform and an available 300 horsepower V6, this baby is just begging to be tuned. So Hyundai has partnered with aftermarket performance company HKS to show just how much potential the Genesis has. No horsepower figures...

I haven't had to—yet—though a few days of "suburban camping" in my Eagle during a certain surf trip with my kid sister one summer got me acquainted with the rigors faced by those who do. Things started to go sideways when we hit the snobby Outer Banks of North Carolina, where everyone drives a brand-new "crossover" and my Eagle stood out like a turd in a punchbowl. The car was getting a lot of looks, and one morning after we'd bedded down for the night in the very...
