So, this morning this olelongrooffan was heading over to shlep some trailers to some unsuspecting folks and as I was passing through the “entertainment district” in beachside Daytona Beach, I unsuspectedly came upon this monstrosity.
Now I have never served in the military and have nothing but a great respect for those who have but WTF is this thing? I was thinking it might be legit but if it were, wouldn’t those shields protect the rear tires also?
Further, the build quality on this thing leaves lots to be desired. Terrible weld spots and absolutely ridiculous caulking around the windows seem to point out this is a one-off by some Hoon who has a military fetish.
By the badging on the side, it has a Cummins Turbo Diesel and that is cool. I know this image is a bit grainy but check out that wire coming out of the flap in the side below that badge.
And the fact it actually has a recessed area for a license plate on the front brings it legit credibility into question.
And the same holds true for the license location on the ass end of it. I peaked inside and could make no sense of the cluster of wires running all over it.
So what do my fellow Hoons suspect? Is this thing real or merely the culmination of some Hoons fantasy?
