Lucky to be alive: Racer Hits Deer in Z06 Corvette

If you were to actually sit down and write down all the things that could go wrong when you’re racing, you’d probably never set foot in a race car. I mean high speeds aside, the amount of unknown variables is simply mind boggling. Other drivers, track debris and weather are just a few of the immediate hazards, but wild animals?!? That’s one that even I hadn’t factored in. The following video shows a driver in a Corvette Z06 taking out a deer at speed. It’s one of the more frightening videos I’ve seen in quite some time and it will have me forward scanning the track horizon for what lies ahead next time I’m out there.
