Yamaha WaveRunner With A T58 Turbine

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Someone is selling the 2008 Yamaha WaveRunner powered by a General Electric T-58 turbine which made its debut at SEMA 2008. The engine is estimated at 1,400 horsepower but has been setup to propel the WaveRunner through thrust alone. For an extra kick to your backside and wallet the engine has a custom afterburner installed.

To be able to use a turbine to power the personal water craft expanding engine mounts were installed to handle the engine expanding when running. There was also a custom fuel and oil tank installed in the front. Lenco stabilizers and a custom rudder from a hydroplane were installed to help with stability.

The buy-it-now price is set at $85,000 and it still doesn’t get you a finished project. It will still need a fuel pump installed, finished wiring and plumbing, and some fiberglass work. Of course that will all be worth it when you set a new speed record at your lake.
