Mike Whiddett’s Twin-turbo 26B Powered MX-5

Published in engineswapdepot.com

Mad Mike is getting ready to add another wild Mazda to his stable. Called Project RADBUL, it’s a third-generation (NC) Mazda MX-5 with a twin-turbo four-rotor 26B engine. The beast of a rotary engine was built by Pulse Performance Race Engineering. With the help of two custom Garrett GTX40s, 100 octane race fuel and Mobil two-stroke oil, the engine produces 1,032 horsepower on the lowest boost setting. I think to put this car in perspective you just need to read Mike’s own words “the fastest thing with four wheels that I have ever driven.”
