ICON’s LS9 Powered 1948 Buick Super Convertible

Published in engineswapdepot.com

ICON just took the wraps off their 1948 Buick Super Convertible project. It might have taken a year but it seems to have paid off very well. The body has been kept untouched but the metal underneath is high tech. It starts with an Art Morrison chassis with a modern suspension system. Then on top of that goes a 6.2L LS9 out of a ZR1 Corvette which is good for 638 horsepower and 604 ft-lb of torque. To handle the massive power a Supermatic 4K85E transmission was used. I can’t wait to see the heads when this thing pulls up and then pulls away.
