The restoration of this 1956 Packard Caribbean for sale on Hemmings.com may indeed be the main story here – the photos and the description lead one to believe that nothing about the car was left untouched and it was stripped to the frame and rebuilt – but we’re just as impressed with the fact that the Packard’s provenance can be traced back to the dealership that sold it new. From the seller’s description:

100 percent frame off professional and correct restoration. Meticulous quality and extreme attention to detail. Restored to original, but looks much nicer than new. Fully documented, all owners’ registration slips back to the Bickelhaupt dealership. Mechanical: Completely rebuilt or replaced everything. New suspension with solid state elec. controls, manual control knob adjusts suspension from driver’s seat. Complete brake system new. Engine machined and new internal parts, water pump, fuel pump. Rebuilt carbs.and gas tank, new gas line. Power steering rebuilt with new lines. Transmission and rearend rebuilt, new OE elec. shift controls. New Packard wiring throughout.
