More excellent pictures unearthed by the guys over on the Classic Ford Facebook page, this time some old photo’s of a Zakspeed Escort in it’s stripped down basic form. So exactly how do you get to the below picture from a normal mk2 Escort? Find out below…

To start with you have to basically throw away the whole Escort until you are left with just a bit of the shell and a few trim bits

Then make up a whole new spaceframed chassis, new suspension, engine, drivetrain, wheels, etc, etc.

So not just a simple bolt on wide arch kit then…

Oh look that grille looks standard!

I won’t be taking on a Zakspeed project any time soon.
