http://www.diyautotune.com/cars/customer/gary_hart_studebaker.htm Gary Hart and crew (Mike and Richard Collison along with Mike's wife Shirley, Gary's wife Sandy, and Jerry Hoffmann) headed back out to the land of wide open salt at Bonneville Raceway this year for SpeedWeek 2008 to try again for the AA/BGALT record, and this time Gary brings it home! Check this video out for an in car view of the record breaking pass, complete with overlay of the radio calls made of the times as they were called out. The car is a 53 Studebaker with a 515ci big-block Merlin and twin Garrett turbo's. Put down just over 700whp and about 750wtq on a Mustang dyno at 10psi and we had the boost at 13.5psi for this record run so you could add another 100 or so to both of those numbers, at the wheels.
