This custom Toyota FJ45 has a swapped Nascar Toyota V8 which puts out 800 horsepower. The engine has a four speed manual transmission bolted to it. The bed was completely custom built to fit. The rear suspension features leaf springs and a 4-link suspension. The body is chopped, channeled, and narrowed. Many vents and other visual obstructions have been filled to create a very clean body. Of course it was finished with a matte black paint, pinstriping, and red line wheels. For more details and...

Jalopnik has a good article written by engine geek Ben Wojdyla talking about the finer details of Ford’s EcoBoost V6. He talks about the advantages of the direct injection and the new exhaust manifold. All these details are very exciting since this engine setup will deliver 340 horsepower and 340 lb-ft torque out of a 3.5L V6 platform. I have high expectations for these engines. I doubt you can fit many groceries in the back of this Caravan anymore or at least any you don’t want shredded and toasted. Looking at this video one might think the propulsion is from the exhaust but this is a shaft driven turbine. So all the power is actually being driven to the wheels. [...]

This 1989 Volvo 745t normally came with a 4 cylinder turbo putting out around 150-200 HP. This car is a project of sorts for the owner’s father who was heavily in the Volvo community. The Volvo called “Volvette” has a 1999 LS1 with twin turbos, 6 speed transmission (probably T-56), custom intercooler, bumper off a [...]

The Triumph TR7 was built by the Triumph Motor Company from 1974 to 1981. Yamaha helped Ford build the SHO engine which was a DOHC V6 engine for the Taurus. A SHO engine swap into a Triumph TR7 presented a lot of problems. The owner first started this swap about a year after the SHO engine [...]

Here we have a twin turbo 2.0L Subaru boxer engine with custom intake and exhaust plumbing. The owner estimates the system is putting out around 300 hp. The car was intended for racing and has built a full tube chassis and roll cage. Obviously this still needs some body work but it can be yours [...]

While wasting some time the other day on flickr I came across a few pictures of a Delorean show. In those there is a picture which really caught my attention. It seems a very resourceful builder created a twin engine Delorean. The flickr photographer says the front engine is a Honda four bangger and the [...]

Twins Turbo updated Supra Forums on their progress. Eric also pointed out this car should not be considered a swap. I resent our work being labeled as a “swap” we are not swapping anything in, we are not using any factory mounts, there will be no way for anyone to do what we are doing without [...]
