To be honest, I could care less about the new incarnation of Knight Rider, but I was a huge fan of the original series. So I was stoked to stumble across the Knight Rider GPS in the mobile electronics hall. It's exactly like other systems, except the voice that gives you turn-by-turn directions is KITT's. And while I know that sounds cheesy, I totally ate it up. There are 300 names stored in its memory—sometimes it's good to be John—and the system will even deliver...

So there was this sign, in front of a door. It said "Honda Reception." No one was guarding it, so we opened the door and walked in. Right into the projection beam that was flashing videogame scenes at the Honda Beach Party. Since no one threw us out, we stuck around for the food, drinks, and music. Thankfully, no one checked us for wrist bands.

Seriously, I have never seen a car stop so many people in their tracks and pull out mobiles to snap a pic! We've had it for a week and had some serious fun. While you're waiting for the feature in our next issue (out Tuesday the 14th) take a look at this pic and tell us what you think. Love it? Hate it?

Kyle Busch, tailed by ESPN anchor Jamie Little, leaves his No. 18 Toyota following a catastrophic engine failure that sent his car to the garage. If you were watching, you'll know that the car started billowing smoke out the exhaust at around lap 140, before it settled down to puffing smoke in bursts in time with the RPM. It hung on that way for several laps, but finally expired and was pushed into the garage. There, the team drained the oil and started tearing the...

Today, Kyle Busch became the winner of the awkwardly-named Camping World RV Sales 200 (who comes up with these things?), not to be confused with Sunday's Sprint race, the Camping World RV 400. Today's race was a harrowing, crashy one that saw early achievers get laid low, and during the last couple of restarts, Kyle left the pack in his dust every time. I watched the No. 18 team celebrate in Victory Lane, and, and while it's true that they splash nasty, sticky...

The KTM X-Bow looks really hot, and all the automotive blogs are just losing their heads over the fact that street legal versions will be available in the States. Now, don't get me wrong, I think this little track toy is cool. But when I watched today's Fast Lane Daily podcast, I was a little shocked at its numbers. I mean, a 135MPH top speed, and zero to 60 in 3.9 seconds? For something that weighs 1,500 lbs and sports a 2.0 liter turbocharged Audi motor mated to a...

First Ken Block jumped a Subaru over 170 feet. Then he took his Subaru snowboarding. Now he and pal Travis Pastrana are doing some stuff with freestyle motocross. Check out a video of Travis busting a backflip over Ken's Subaru after the jump!

I've recently had some trouble with my Valiant: last week, the ignition switch decided to give up the ghost. I could've hot wired it, but that’s not really my style, so instead I ordered a replacement unit that will simply replace the old switch. Interestingly as a result of my problem I have found out that there is apparently only one person in all of Australia who actually rebuilds the units to new or better-than-new specifications. Unfortunately the units that...

This video has probably been kicking around for a little while, but I'd never seen it, and I love all the footage of the Impala SS just walking away from the police cruisers. At one point, the dude in the chopper is flying 130MPH, and he's still having a hard time keeping up. Of course, the 17 year old thief behind the wheel gets busted in the end, but that doesn't make this clip any less fun to watch. Enjoy.

When NBC aired the new Knight Rider movie back in February, the line was that it was going to gauge reaction and then make a decision about whether to continue the franchise as a series. Well, the brass must have liked the numbers they saw, because the new show is set to premier September 24th. Among blog readers, reaction to the movie was decidedly mixed, and while I think there are some cheesy elements present in the clip below, it still looks pretty cool. What do you...

There are a lot of videos of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb floating around on the web, but the Peugeot-produced Climb Dance is the best one I found. The combination of perspectives—I love the overhead shots—gives you a real sense of how difficult and treacherous this twisty 12.4 mile course is. Just watch the driver's hands as he wrestles the car through the turns! I'm getting ready to head to the airport right now, but I'll be in Colorado Springs by early afternoon. Stay...

In today's Top Three, Buck Fever and Bass Masters from Rowdy.com explain the sweet move that Kyle Busch pulled on Jimmy Johnson at the end of the Lifelock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. Larry Mac and Tim Brewer may need a telestrator, but not Buck and Bass. What do you think—after seven Sprint Cup wins for 2008, is Kyle Busch the shizzle or fizzle?

At Infineon Raceway on Sunday, Kyle Busch managed yet again to dominate on a style of track that, heretofore, he completely stunk at. He proved at Talladega that he's a restrictor-plate all-star. He showed that he could tame the Lady In Black by shellacking the field at Darlington. And last Sunday at the first of only two road course races of the Sprint Cup season, he served notice that one slick move and two steady feet prove that he is our next road-course ringer....

Time is running out if you want this awesome '84 Chrysler LeBaron convertible on eBay. Continental kits look bad enough on cars from the 50s and 60s, but this is just atrocious. I asked my buddies at Moparts for some production numbers on these but couldn't get a serious answer out of anyone. One guy did comment that it looks like a "bumper-mounted toilet with the seat up," which seems like a pretty accurate description. I wonder if those chrome exhaust tips...

Earlier this year, Dover International Speedway unveiled its new monument to its giant grey golem of a mascot, Miles the Monster, whose handle reverses the nickname of the vicious concrete track itself, known as "The Monster Mile." The building-sized collusus, with glowering red eyes and a real stock car clutched in his fist, has been heavily hyped in the lead-up to race weekend at Dover—he even has his own limited-edition comic book. But I still think his coolest...

Everyone knows that kids these days are just so sensible and pragmatic, and not at all deserving of the bad rap they always get in the popular culture. Forbes Autos reports on the top ten cars most wanted by "teens," and the majority of them are relatively fuel efficient and priced under $20K. Here's the breakdown:
1. Ford Mustang2. Honda Civic3. Honda Accord4. VW New Beetle5. Toyota Camry6. Toyota Corolla7. Tie between Chevy Impala and Ford Focus8. Tie between...

Kelly Blue Book, "The Trusted Source," has awarded Porsche top honors with "Best Exterior Design" in the "Sports Car/Convertible" category, which takes its whole lineup into consideration. A few grumblers around the office, notably John, are kind of wondering what other cars they even looked at. Actually, John kind of freaked out a little bit on behalf of the F430, but Sean countered that he'd buy two Porsches before he'd buy a Ferrari. I think the whole thing's a...
