I’ve seen better artwork on Powell Peralta decks. What do you think? More pics and details at Jalopnik

I love how hardcore this car is. Esprit always has made some hardcore race cars and crazy parts. Although Esprit is known for some crazy NSXs and GT-Rs, I really like just how raw this 350Z is. Notice the dry carbon doors, the dry carbon wing, and the dry carbon intercooler duct, three of Esprit’s [...]

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief The Eos beat the G6 by a 7-to-5 ratio in this week's Showroom Showdown. Seems like the lack of a manual tranny really hurt the G6 in the voting (Pontiac dropped the optional six-speed manual in the G6 in 2007). I dig Stanley's Eos with the JE Design body kit.

By Craig McAlpine iMotor A dealer near our offices invited me to have a go in an Eleanor Mustang. It's pretty sweet even if it is not a real GT500! Not so sure about all the Gone in 60 Seconds badges and the £130,000 price tag, but it's seriously good fun! Unfortunately, the car was about to head to 'Top Gear Live' so I had to be really, really careful!

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief Edmunds Inside Line hosted a Nissan 370Z preview in Los Angeles on Saturday. Nissan brought out three of their new cars and everyone at the event was allowed to get up close and personal. Check out Go370Z.com for a ton of detailed shots.

By Katherine Helmetag AKA atomicalex As if Chris Bangle didn't do enough to this poor 5er, this M5 got some more "help" from Kerscher and AC Schnitzer. Check out the partially smoked head- and tail-lamps. Max Factor called, I think he wants his eyeliner pen back. More views after the jump.

By John Coyle Editor This might not initially seem like the most fair match-up, given that the GT-R lists for $25 grand less than the 'Vette. But in reality, buyers are probably going to pay close to $100K to get their hands on  Godzilla, so price-wise, I don't think this comparison is terribly unfair. Now, given the reams of positive press the GT-R has generated, I was really curious to see how it would fare in a head-to-head comparison with the General's halo car. Would the GT-R's suite...

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief This isn't the first electric Porsche we've had in the blog, but it's probably the fastest. Ruf worked with Calmotors of Camarillo, California, to develop an all-electric powertrain for the Porsche 997. Road & Track got a chance to drive an early prototype and came away pretty excited about it. Their driving impressions remind me of my Tesla Roadster test drive. Basically, batteries weigh a lot, and an electric car will never sound quite as good as a...

By 993C4S Porsche Purist Looking back it seemed like a good idea, maybe even a great idea. Now, I’m not so sure. I’ll let you be the judge. I was surfing around the other day and saw Jen's post on the Challenger pumkin. I thought, hmmmm, I wonder if I could do that with a Porsche? Man of action that I am, I fired off a quick email to Paul Chenard asking if he could put something together for me. Paul responded almost instantly saying “no problem,” and a couple hours later the design below...

By Ron aka WayTooFurious There are some basic rules of thumb that apply to situations ranging from home improvement to automotive work, like "measure twice and cut once." Well, on the weekend I only measured once and I wound up paying the price. I needed to replace the cable for the manual choke on my Valiant. I didn’t even make a measurement, I simply lined up the old choke cable with the new one and decided that it was as accurate as it needed to be and cut the new cable to size....

By Ben Schaffer Bulletproof Automotive One of the cars we are proud to be supporting for SEMA is Robert’s E92 M3. Some of you have seen the exhaust from his car in photos posted on this blog earlier, but last Friday he got it installed. Robert’s car also uses the Gruppe-M intake system, Brembo big brakes and HRE Monoblok wheels amongst other choice mods. His car will be featured in the Eibach Springs booth at SEMA. Here are some pics of his car after installing the full titanium exhaust...

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief So if you're a Mopar Or No Car kind of guy and are sick of high gas prices, what do you do? You build an electric Duster. Bruce bought this A-body back in 2006. It had a fresh 360 but otherwise was pretty rough. Over the course of two years he did a resto-mod on the car, which included body work, new paint, and even digital gauges and an RFID keyless ignition system. But Bruce didn't stop there. With gas prices on the rise, he was already researching...

By Jen Dunnaway Editor Here's a few snaps of the Camping World East Series cars on their practice run, and in the pits afterwards. The front left tire on the No. 16 car, the final two pics below the jump, was rubbing so bad that the heat burned a hole in the paint on the outside of the fender. That's car owner and former East Series champion driver Mike Olsen helping his team weld it up and beat it out so the car could run in the final practice without having the tire blow up. I can't...

By Craig McAlpine iMotor This is a car that I have been waiting for as French motors with revvy engines are 'my thing' (check out my ride page!). It's the Renaultsport Twingo which has been given boost in power. Ok, so it's only 131 bhp, but remember this is a little car! The car I drove in Portugal had the 'Cup' chassis. The car has been lowered by 14mm over the standard Twingo and also has stiffer springs, dampers and a widened track. This basically means you don't have to slow down for...

By Jen Dunnaway Editor From CarDomain Video, here's a nicely-executed e-brake turn by a '99 Sentra in the suburbs of Corpus Christi. Now, as a study in contrast and a reminder that you that you probably shouldn't be practicing your stunt driving on public roads, below is an awkwardly-attempted turn on a too-narrow, gravel-shouldered country road that ends up with the participating Acura in the ditch. Enjoy!

By John Coyle Editor Maybe it's my just my juvenile sense of humor, but I think that failblog.org is one of the most consistently amusing sites on the web, and this video they posted had me rolling. From the moment this little econobox and its big-ass trailer come into view, it's clear this situation isn't going to end well. Hopefully nobody got hurt.

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief Ryan's beautiful new Audi A5 came with an electronic parking brake. I've been trying to remain open minded about all the electronics they've been dumping into new cars these days, but honestly, I think this is pushing it a bit too far. Ryan kindly gave me a little demonstration of how this thing works in the video below. I also have some interior pics after the jump, including the hilarious oil level readout on the MMI display. And of course you should check...

By Jen Dunnaway Editor Clearly, rock crawling takes loads of skill, but sometimes the footage can be a little tedious. A four-minute video of some guy moving a Jeep two inches? Meh. This clip, on the other hand, takes it to a whole new level—literally. It just seems there's so many opportunities for a catastrophic fail in these brief 17 seconds, and yet he makes it. You'll see what I mean.

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief I give my Satellite a sponge bath once per year whether it needs it or not. But I know a lot of CarDomain members are hardcore detailers and would appreciate this thread on DetailingWorld, where some Brits drag a dirty but super low mileage E36 M3 out of a shed and detail it within an inch of its life. I dropped a bunch of photos below the jump, but be sure to click through to the original forum thread for all the pics and info. You know people are serious...

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief Check out Mike's awesome project, which is the result of mixing an El Camino with a Cutlass Supreme. I love the "open disclaimer" on his ride page: You might be thinking "That's just wrecking the El Camino" (Or Cutlass for that matter.) Neither is exactly true. The El Camino needed a complete restoration due to being a daily driver for numerous salty southern Ontario winters. I'm restoring it, but I'm choosing to use Oldsmobile parts. The Cutlass was scrapped...

By Ben Schaffer Bulletproof Automotive We all loved Jon Sibal’s early rendering of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series. It was particularly impressive to see just how close his design was to the actual car which was released after Jon’s design. So here is my friend Jon again trying to predict the future and showing us first what the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Speedster will look like. Or at least this is what Jon thinks it’ll be. More over at John's blog.

By Rob Einaudi Editor-in-Chief I just heard from Jason Heintz, Emilio's brother-in-law. Emilio and his Duster won it all on Pinks All Out at Englishtown this weekend! Here's how Jason broke it down once Emilio made it to the final 16: Don Walsh Jr was the first round opponent. He is an NMRA Pro 5.0 heavy hitter and the crowd went nuts when Emilio took the win light on him. That was the first win and received the $1000 cash. 2nd round was the most amazing driving anybody had ever seen. The...

By Jen Dunnaway Editor Corvette Racing shows that you don't have to give up creature comforts to go racing—each of its racecars has a near-stock air-conditioning setup to help keep its drivers cool. The deal with the sanctioning body is that if the teams run a/c, they get to use bigger-bore restrictor plates—and that more than makes up for the horsepower that's lost through the climate control. The 427 big-blocks are able to run cellulosic E85 with only minor tweaks to timing and fuel...
