Weekend Events ~ Car Shows & Toy Drives ~ Southern California

This weekend kicks off the holiday season in the Lowrider Culture which means its time for toy drives. Lowrider clubs do quite a bit of chairty work and having toy drives is one of the major fundraising events for the clubs. Here are a few of the events going down this weekend for a good cause, the kids! I know times are tough but if you have a few extra bucks donate to a children’s organization.

Walden Speed Shop

Earlier this week we stopped by Walden Speed Shop to observe what makes these world-class metalcrafters tick. Greeting us at the entrance were a beautiful ‘27 T-Bucket with a Buick Nailhead 425 and a partially built ‘36 Ford smuggling an L92 crate motor between its bulging fenders. Was nervt am Verhalten anderer Autofahrer?

In einer Umfrage von mobile.de wurden 2.400 Nutzer befragt, was sie am Verhalten anderer Autofahrer am meisten nervt und wie sie ihren Frust abbauen. Wir spielen Sitze Bingo

Ab und an neige ich dazu, Blödsinnsgebote bei eBay abzugeben. Und so kommt man dann zu solchen Sitzen: Hier gibt es den Fahrer und Beifahrer Sitz eines Vectra 2000. Ich hatte die Sitze selbst hier ersteigert. Hab sie zur Vorführung beim Tüv gebraucht. Es sind Schonbezüge drauf und ich weis nicht wie die Sitze untendrunter ausschauen. Wie gesagt hier ersteigert und nach dem Tüv wieder ausgebaut und in den Keller gelegt. Der Beifahrersitz wird erst Ausgebaut wenn die Sitze hier verkauft sind....

Water Crossings

As a kid, your natural inclination when you see a puddle is to jump in it. Perhaps this same primal desire is the reason I particularly enjoy water crossings in various rally events. I wish there was some deep philosophical insight into life that I could provide here. In the course of investigating an item for HCC Lost and Found, Walker Burns of Ivorytown, Connecticut, sent along several photos from the 1922 Indianapolis 500 that his grandfather, Walker Burns Sr., took.
