Toyota schreibt Verluste!

Der japanische Autobauer Toyota musste im ersten Halbjahr des laufenden Geschäftsjahres einen Verlust von umgerechnet 421 Millionen Euro verbuchen. Gleichzeitig ging das Betriebsergebnis ging von 3,57 Milliarden Euro auf minus 1,03 Milliarden Euro zurück. Besser lief es jedoch im letzten Quartal, wo Toyota einen leichten Gewinn machte und die Prognose für dieses Geschäftsjahr nach oben korrigiert werden konnte. Toyota will 7 Millionen Autos verkaufen

This Year’s Barfiest Interior

The World’s Ugliest Prius

Well, day two is off and running here at SEMA, so I thought it would be a great time to show how Toyota set up their booth for SEMA. Tattoo in Progress: Stop-Motion Video

"So with the help of Tony Touch, I am getting an awesome Nerd sleeve worked on whenever I go visit Toledo. We decided to roll with an evolution of cameras at first, then more nerdy references above. Trick Pony: Ford’s Completely Carbon Fiber Mustang!

You can’t throw a rock at SEMA without hitting something made out of carbon fiber, but even in this sea of lightweight material, this Mustang stood out. Truly Frightening Ford Super Duty

Rob swears he’s seen this F650 somewhere before, but it sure was new to me. I’m pretty certain that it’s the only vehicle at SEMA whose wheels needed to be coned off for safety reasons. And, um, what’s with the jet engine in the bed? According to its website, “TheFrictionator” makes 7000 hp and is the world’s only street-legal jet truck. More pics below the jump.
